Our hotel in Florence was a Holiday Inn style - guess there are not too many

We crossed the Arno river on foot and walked a short distance through small streets to the Church of Santa Croce.
The square in front of the church was a celebration of marble, with marble chips covering the ground.

The church was under repair, but we snapped a photo of the inside and one painting.
Our guide told us that Galileo is buried here. Electrical Engineer Dave noted that
Fermi and Marconi also have tombs here.
